What the klicksafe Youth Panel does

Whether in the news, in politics, in society, at school or even at the dinner table at home - the role that smartphones and the internet play in the lives of children and young people is a recurring topic of discussion. What do young people experience online? What are the biggest dangers? Are young people all addicted to media? What do children and young people really need to be able to navigate online safely and independently?

Unfortunately, all too often young people themselves are not heard in these discussions. That's why klicksafe has set up the Youth Panel. Here you can take part, have your say and tell us what is important to you online. Because your voice counts!

In concrete terms, it looks like this:

  • We regularly discuss current topics, trends and online risks in the klicksafe Youth Panel and work together on projects.
  • We know what is currently going on on social media & Co. and make important topics or dangerous trends visible. For example, are there challenges that could be dangerous or online trends that are good for young people right now?
  • We take part in annual events and engage in nationwide exchange (e.g. at the Federal Youth Media Conference in Rostock).
  • We launch online activities or campaigns and create materials - from the idea to implementation.
  • We take part in workshops where we receive further training on current online topics.
