What is the klicksafe Youth Panel?
The klicksafe Youth Panel is the youth advisory board of the nationwide media literacy initiative klicksafe and has been active since 2009. It consists of committed young people between the ages of 13 and 18 from all over Germany. The Youth Panel is committed to making the internet a better and safer place for children and young people. Each person on the Youth Panel brings different experiences, ideas and strengths - which is exactly what makes the Youth Panel so diverse and valuable. Anyone who wants to get involved in online topics is welcome to join the Youth Panel!
In the klicksafe Youth Panel, we regularly discuss current topics, trends and online risks and work together on projects to help young people stay safer online. We are involved in various events in Germany and at European level, in online campaigns, in the development of klicksafe materials and in campaigns relating to online safety. By participating in workshops, we also have the opportunity to bring ourselves up to date on exciting, current online topics. Youth Panel members and klicksafe media educators work together to ensure that young people are not only talked about, but above all with young people and that their concerns are heard.

And who is klicksafe?
klicksafe is a nationwide media literacy initiative of the EU, which is implemented by the Rhineland-Palatinate Media Authority. For over 20 years, klicksafe has been committed to supporting children and young people in surfing the net safely and competently. To this end, klicksafe offers a wealth of information, tips and materials on various digital topics and online risks. The offers are primarily aimed at teachers and educators who want to support children and young people in dealing with digital media. There are also many quizzes, actionbounds and flyers that young people or media scouts can play or read directly.
