"Media Literacy Week - 1:0 for diversity and respect". This is the slogan for this year's Media Literacy Week (WMK). We are calling on everyone to use media literacy to train the "democracy muscle" and promote fair play online so that disinformation and hate speech don't stand a chance.
How are artificial intelligence, deepfakes and the like changing our media world? Who can I trust online? And how do I protect my personal data online? Keeping an overview in an increasingly complex digital world requires guidance and support.
Whether in schools, sports clubs, families or senior citizens' clubs: regional and national players provide practical tips, information and concrete help on the topic of media literacy. Media Literacy Week thus sends a strong signal against disinformation and for trustworthy information in our democracy.
