The self-determined development of children's/young people's sexuality in the digital environment is associated with challenges. At the same time, sexualized violence against children online is a pressing problem. Torsten Krause provides information on current phenomena and those affected, the legal situation and options for action.

Torsten Krause works as Cooperative Project Manager "Child Protection and Children's Rights in the Digital World" at the Digital Opportunities Foundation. From 2020 to 2023, he headed the Expert Group for Children's Rights in the Digital World at Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk. Since 2025, he has represented the National Coalition for the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Germany on the Advisory Board of the Federal Agency for Child and Youth Media Protection.
