re:publica Berlin is one of the world's most important festivals of the digital society. It brings together artists, activists, business people, company representatives and people from many other areas of life and work. In 2025, the programme will once again bring the most important topics relating to the internet, its communities and the opportunities and challenges that lie in the digitalization of society to the stage.

The motto of re:publica 2025: Generation XYZ

Generation X, GenY (millennials) and GenZ - re:publica 2025 invites all generations (boomers are of course also welcome!) to its table, because our democratic society is being put to the test. Both online and offline, there is a lack of spaces where generations can meet openly to make sure that there is more that connects us than divides us. That generational differences also offer opportunities to learn from each other if we meet openly.

The age-dependent use of social media platforms and the different communication channels of the generations make it almost impossible for old and young to meet and exchange ideas. Yet it would be so important right now to seek cross-generational solidarity, because Generation XYZ includes those who can still actively ensure that our planet remains a home worth living on for all people. To ensure that we continue to live in a democratic society that is characterized by freedom, humanity and solidarity with one another.

We can and should argue about what divides us. For re:publica 2025, however, we want to forge the intergenerational alliance that we so urgently need right now. Our collective knowledge makes us smarter, our cultural passions more creative, and with united courage we are unbeatable.
