In times of fake news, manipulated images and contradictory information, trust has become a rare resource. The digital flood of information is making it increasingly difficult to distinguish truth from deception. Social networks, news sites and personal opinions merge unnoticed to create a world of information that unsettles and raises the central question: Who can I still believe?
With the symposium on 16 September 2025 from 10:30 to 17:00 at the Catholic Academy in the Diocese of Fulda , the organizers invite you to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of today's media world:
- How do we recognize trustworthy sources?
- What responsibility do the media and each individual bear?
- How has social media changed elections and election campaigns?
- How can we recognize and deal with disinformation and manipulation?
With informative presentations, discussion rounds and a market of opportunities, the symposium is a platform for exchange and reflection.
Further information and a link to register can be found here: www.aksb.de.
