The formation of opinions online is becoming increasingly complex in light of phenomena such as disinformation, hate and agitation, the use of artificial intelligence and political campaigns. This is particularly true in the run-up to elections. In a digital media world, it is increasingly important to distinguish between information and opinion, fact and fake, and to maintain an overview in the flood of media offerings online.

The online lecture series "Meine Meinung, meine Wahl - Wie Meinungsbildung im Netz funktioniert" (My Opinion, My Choice - How Opinion Formation Works Online ) by the Baden-Württemberg Media Authority (LFK) and the service portal "Silver Tipps - Mit Freude online" deals with various aspects of the topic of "Opinion Formation Online".

The experts giving presentations will provide numerous practical tips for dealing with disinformation in everyday life and for competent and informed media use. The aim is to show how this can contribute to a functioning democracy and social cohesion.

The online lecture series will be held via the online platform edudip and will be recorded. Participants will remain anonymous and can use the chat function to ask questions and make suggestions. The number of participants is limited, so prior registration is necessary: to the online registration.
