Screentime Stories - everything under control on the smartphone? How we find a good balance between fun, FOMO and endless scrolling 

Scrolling, typing, sharing - we all use our smartphones, our constant companions. But how, why and when do we use our cell phones? How do we feel about it and afterwards? It can quickly become annoying if the other person feels like their eyes are constantly glued to the screen. How can we find a good balance and rules that work for everyone in the family? What support do we need to feel good and safe? 

However, there is often too little discussion in families about the use of smartphones and the like. Accusations are quickly made or arguments break out.

We want to talk about this: 

• When and why do we use our smartphones?
• Favorite content - what do we do online?  
• Digital balance: Do we find it difficult to take breaks and why? How do we feel during and after use? 
• What do we enjoy? What worries us? 
• What wishes do we have? What would we like to change? 
• Media use in the family - together, creatively and with fun 
• Swarm knowledge in demand: What tips are there to help us feel safe and comfortable online? 

Register as a (grand)parent together with your child or grandchild for the MeetUp at - the event is free of charge! Also present: A young voice as co-moderator as well as Lidia de Reese and Nils Rudolf from the FSM's Media Education team with practical tips for young people and parents.

#Medienverbinden - The MeetUp for children, teens and (grand)parents 

In the new online format from klicksafe and the Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle Multimedia-Diensteanbieter (FSM e.V.), we would like to promote an exchange about media use between children, young people and (grand)parents. The aim is to listen and understand.
