Young people are in a special phase of their development: Who am I? How should others see me? What is important to me? In their search for answers, the internet and social media in particular are indispensable for adolescents today. Here they can try things out, explore their interests and exchange ideas with others.

However, in addition to many positive experiences, children and young people are often confronted with stressful experiences in the digital world. Among other things, they can be affected by various forms of sexualized violence online, such as sexual harassment, blackmail with intimate recordings or cybergrooming.

At the Mannheim City Library's Media Wednesday on March 26, 2025, klicksafe will first give parents, educators and other interested parties an insight into how children and young people use the internet today. Participants will then receive information about different forms of sexual violence on the internet and what is needed to better protect young people from it.

Participation is free of charge. Registration under: 0621 293-8933 or stadtbibliothek.zentralbibliothek☞ Please insert an @ here ☜mannheim☞ Please insert a dot here ☜de
