Season passes, free-to-play games, loot boxes: What should parents be aware of here? How does the USK rate purchase mechanisms in games and which parental control settings help? The USK will answer these and other questions at the next "Digital Parents' Evening" on June 17 at 7 pm. Linda Scholz from Spieleratgeber NRW will be there. As a specialist and editor, she is responsible for the game test groups, the youth editorial team and social networks.

The interactive online event will focus on the following topics:
- Monetization in games: overview of common models such as season passes, loot boxes and microtransactions.
- Evaluation criteria: How are these models taken into account for age rating and how is an age rating created?
- Tips for parents: Precautionary measures and recommendations for dealing with purchases in games.
