In addition to all other topics in the field of violence and crime prevention, the 31st German Congress on Crime Prevention will focus on "AI in prevention". The congress invites you to take a comprehensive and future-oriented look at the topic. The focus will be on key questions:
- What challenges does AI bring with it in the context of crime and security, but also in society as a whole?
- What far-reaching changes are associated with the use of AI - and who is affected and how?
- And how can AI be used in a targeted and responsible way for prevention work?
This is not just about technological potential, but also about the ethical and practical question of how a conscious, reflective approach to AI can succeed in prevention.
Further information on the topic can be found in this introductory text. In addition, in the run-up to the congress, a scientific publication will be produced in which the main topic will be presented from various scientific perspectives. This will be summarized in a short video. The accompanying publication and video will be published on the DPT website in spring 2026.
All available information can be found on the website www.praeventionstag.de.
