Antifeminism online: Misogyny and the enemy image of "feminism"

Misogyny and the demonization of feminism are not only characteristics of various extremist ideologies, but also part of everyday life on social media. Be it influencers who glorify patriarchal role models and share derogatory images of women and toxic masculinity. Or self-proclaimed "coaches" who offer sexist "pick-up" seminars and see women as sexual prey. Finally, misogynistic attitudes culminate in the so-called "incel" scene, where misogynistic violence and femicide are glorified. Young people can easily come into contact with content online that is directed against emancipation, gender equality or against women and female characters in general.
