These are no longer isolated cases: nude photos of children and young people - whether self-produced or AI-generated - are spreading rapidly across classrooms and schools. The consequences: Great shame and distress for those affected, stress and uncertainty on the part of families and schools, perhaps even police investigations due to criminal offenses. Questions arise such as:
- How to deal with victims and perpetrators?
- What is the legal background, also against the background of potential child or youth pornography?
- Can I make myself liable to prosecution if I only want to help?
- How can schools work preventively on this topic?
- Where can I get external support?
- How can I support children and young people in the healthy development of their sexuality?
The aim of this event is to provide teachers, school social workers and interested parties with know-how and confidence from a legal perspective, as well as concrete educational tips for dealing with this topical and still taboo subject.
The webinar with experts from the State Prevention Center against Violence and Cyber Violence at Schools in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Internet Complaints Office of eco - Association of the Internet Industry provides an overview of the educational and legal aspects of the topic.
In addition to information on the issues mentioned, there will also be an opportunity for questions from the participants.
The event takes place on the occasion of Safer Internet Day 2025.
