Do online games help against fake news? Is everything that is posted on TikTok, Insta & etc. true? And how can we make the internet better? Soraya thinks together with you about how to recognize, block and report lies. This is Team Timster, your media magazine.
"No likes for lies!" The motto of Safer Internet Day 2025 is an opportunity for us to look at how we can make the internet a better place. Lies online - are they any different to lies in real life? We ask children in Berlin. By now, everyone knows what fake news is. But how can you protect yourself against it? There are a number of online games to separate truth from lies and recognize fake news. But what are they good for? We take the gaming test - which game can our children's jury really recommend? And: Marie (11) asks us whether everything posted on TikTok, Instagram and co. is true? Social media expert Robin Blase (RobBubble) does the test for us and sees what truths are served up to you at the age of 13 when you register there. Fake news can be a real problem online, especially when it comes to extremist and populist posts. That's why we're working with the community to think about how to make the internet safer and better. We also show how such content can be blocked and reported. Let's curb fake news together and make the internet a better place!
