The Rhineland-Palatinate State Office of Criminal Investigation is holding an online event on the topic of "Sexual abuse/child pornography - the relevance of prevention and interdisciplinary networking".

The background to the prevention event is that the protection of children and young people is a central task and obligation that must be borne by society as a whole. Criminal prosecution alone is not enough; it must be part of a holistic approach for society as a whole. The interdisciplinary networking of all stakeholders plays an important role in this. Prevention expert Carina Kneip sees herself as a "bridge builder" between the police, victims and support systems. The presentation will provide insights into the strengths and limitations of the options for action within an interdisciplinary network. Practical experience will be used to show how mutual understanding and the building of bridges can sustainably improve prevention work in the area of sexual abuse and child pornography. The focus is on changing perspectives and perceiving one's own limits as an opportunity.
