No likes for lies! Safer Internet Day 2025 at the CBG
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the CBG is organizing a Safer Internet Day. Under the nationwide motto "No likes for lies! - Recognize extremism, populism and deepfakes on the internet", our students will deal with the recognition of false information as well as extremist and populist narratives.
The topic is addressed in age-appropriate teaching units in all classes. Pupils learn about methods of influence in social media, how subtle influence works and how to recognize deepfakes. The aim is to empower them to recognize dangers on the internet for themselves and for our democracy - particularly important in times of increasing extremism and racism and shortly before the general election. This is how we as a school pass on the message: We are open-minded and do not link to anti-democratic or xenophobic lies!
