Populist videos with extreme positions are spreading on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. Many young people like and share them without checking their veracity. They are often based on lies or distorted representations. How do you recognize real content, fake news and hate speech? What role do artificial intelligence and deep fakes play? What are TikTok and YouTube algorithms behind this? Get tips on how to keep an overview of the digital world and support young people in dealing with disinformation.
Inspirational speaker: Hans-Peter Dürhager is a political educator, media pedagogue and filmmaker. In training courses, seminars and workshops for young people and adults, he works on communication, fake news and hate speech in social media and the prevention of extremism. Teaching critical media skills is the motivation behind his work, as is empowering people to actively shape their own media.
