Monday to Sunday, 10th to 16th of February 2025

Target group(s)

Parents

To mark Safer Internet Day 2025, the BLM Stiftung Medienpädagogik Bayern is organizing over 20 parents' evenings for the Bavarian Media Education Referent Network throughout Bavaria. The free information events on topics such as cyberbullying, fake news and social media will be offered in face-to-face and online formats with financial support from the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for New Media (BLM). With this campaign, the foundation aims to draw attention to the importance of media education work and the great need for information among parents when it comes to media education.

Since June 2012, the Bavarian Media Education Speaker Network has been supporting Bavarian educational institutions such as daycare centers, schools and family centers in the planning and implementation of media education information events and providing speakers for presentations free of charge. There is a choice of parents' evenings on media use for under 3 to 6-year-olds, 6 to 10-year-olds and 10 to 14-year-olds. Interested educational institutions can request a parents' evening at www.stiftung-medienpaedagogik-bayern.de.

The Bavarian Media Education Referent Network is funded by the Bavarian State Chancellery.
