Action for Safer Internet Day 2025 (No Likes for Lies) by MedienScoutZ Salzgitter

On February 11, 2025, MedienScoutZ will be holding an interactive event at the Forellenhof youth culture workshop to mark Safer Internet Day. Under the motto "No likes for lies", participants will take an in-depth look at the topic of fake news and disinformation.

At a variety of hands-on stations, pupils in years 7 to 9 have the opportunity to actively engage in dialog with the MedienScoutZ. The topics range from basic questions such as "What is fake news?" and "Why is there fake news?" to practical approaches such as "How do I recognize false reports?" and "What can we do together to combat disinformation?"

The MedienScoutZ have developed creative and interactive methods to convey the topic in an exciting and everyday way. Whether quiz formats, media analyses, film analyses, etc. - there is something for everyone. The event not only provides valuable information, but also encourages critical thinking and a reflective approach to media.

The aim of the event is to get the pupils involved and then to deal confidently with information, expose fake news and transfer their findings into everyday life. The open design of the event allows visitors to explore the stations freely and actively participate in the discussion.

The campaign is a closed event, so registration is not possible.
