Dear professionals, dear parents,
As part of Safer Internet Day, the partner organizations of the Safer Internet DE network cordially invite you to the webinar "No likes for lies: What to do against populist and extremist (deep) fakes on the internet? - What professionals & parents need to know".
Fakes generated by artificial intelligence or blatant untruths: Where are the legal boundaries for populist or extremist online content? What do children and young people come into contact with and how can they be supported in dealing with such content? The organizations of the German Safer Internet Centre will shed light on these and other questions on 18 February. In addition to the klicksafe awareness center, these include the complaints offices of eco, FSM and jugendschutz.net as well as the counseling services of Nummer gegen Kummer e.V.
The event is aimed at educational professionals, multipliers, parents and anyone else interested in learning more about how to deal with populist and extremist (deep) fakes on the internet. Experts from the partner organizations will provide information on the challenges and options for dealing with such online content.
You will receive a general legal overview of the topic of false information and hate speech, learn about current trends and tendencies in the area of content harmful to young people and gain insights into the options for action offered by counseling services and media education services. During the event, there will also be the opportunity to ask questions in the chat.
