How do I know whether a message or video on the Internet is genuine? And what are deepfakes anyway? Not so easy to explain to children. To mark Safer Internet Day 2025, the parents' guide FLIMMO has put together a selection of magazine programmes, websites and YouTube clips that clearly show children of primary school age and above what fake news is and how they can recognize it. This allows parents to talk to children about this important topic. FLIMMO has summarized many tips on how parents can strengthen information literacy and convey a critical view of online news.
