On the eve of Safer Internet Day, WAKE UP! is offering a livestream event about risks on the internet for parents, teachers and anyone interested in the topic.

Young people are online - whether for entertainment, research, communication or to find out about the latest news. We can only regulate the content they come across to a limited extent. It is important that parents and guardians also know their way around and can offer young people guidance and support - for example with problems such as cyberbullying or lies or manipulative content on the internet.

At the WAKE UP! livestream event, experts from the fields of social media and media education will provide valuable information and advice on how to recognize dangers on the internet yourself and raise young people's awareness of them. Participants will also receive tips on what they can do if their child is affected by digital violence and who they can turn to. The experts will also be available to answer questions from the audience.
