The quality of deepfakes is so advanced nowadays that they can hardly be distinguished from real images, videos and audio content. Deepfakes are often created with the intention of spreading false information, harming, blackmailing or deceiving people.
In the workshop, we will look at various scenarios and contexts in which deepfakes occur particularly frequently. We will also provide a technical insight into how deepfakes are created and present possible courses of action to better recognize deepfakes.
The event is free of charge. Participants must register in advance via the following link: https://dortmunder-u.de/event/deepfakes-zwischen-manipulation-und-desinformation/
