At our school, the fifth classes take part in five media workshops. The following stations are visited in class:
1. online behavior (cyberbullying, messenger, social media)
2. fake net (fake news/accounts, Instagram etc.)
3. my internet self (e.g. my image online, what does the internet know about me?)
4. switch off! (focus: games)
5. On air! (create your own stopmotion films, topic: YouTube)
The special thing about this is that the workshops are run by peers, i.e. older ninth-grade students from the Media Studies WPK who have completed a coaching course. These so-called "media guides" will use various methods to introduce their younger classmates to a critical approach to "new media" and expand their (media) skills.
