On Safer Internet Day (SID), February 6, 2024, the counseling and education platform JUUUPORT will offer a livestream on Instagram at 5:30 p.m. together with the Sexual Abuse Helpline and the "Nummer gegen Kummer". All participating advice centers help young people with sexual violence online.
The aim of the joint livestream is to draw attention to existing offers of help and to make the inhibition threshold for young people to seek help as low as possible. This is because it has become clear in recent months that issues such as sexting and sextortion (blackmail with intimate recordings) have increased significantly in online counseling at JUUUPORT. Young people also have to deal with cybergrooming and the unwanted receipt of dickpics online. This is why JUUUPORT has initiated live counseling for young people.
Young people can ask their questions to experts
During the livestream, JUUUPORT scouts Regina and Carolin will talk to experts from the other two counselling services, the sexual abuse helpline and "Nummer gegen Kummer", and discuss anonymized examples of counselling on the topic of sexual harassment. All counselors give tips for the respective case. Afterwards, young users participating in the livestream can ask their questions directly to the experts.
Questions about sexual harassment on the internet can be submitted in advance via Instagram or to info@juuuport.de
