"Let's talk about porn" street survey

Not everyone finds it easy to talk about pornography. The discrepancy between the high availability of pornography on the one hand and the strong taboo on the other can contribute to unrealistic ideas about sexuality becoming entrenched. klicksafe asked people on the street: Is watching porn okay? When did they first come into contact with pornography? How are women and men portrayed in porn? And how do they feel about young people under the age of 18 watching porn?

Full of porn! How do I talk to my child about pornographic content online?

To mark Safer Internet Day 2024, we are publishing the new information sheet "Voll Porno!". It offers parents helpful tips on technical device settings, ways to open a conversation about porn consumption and information on reporting centers. In addition, a reality check helps to talk to children in an age-appropriate way about the problematic ideals of beauty and role models in porn.

"Let's talk ..." - Info cards on the topic of pornography

In five info cards, young people receive information on reporting and advice centers for disturbing content, learn to perceive their own boundaries, reflect on porn myths and can get to know good offers on the subject of sex education. Use the cards to get into conversation with young people or simply hand them out. Campaign videos for the SID 2024

Just one click away from porn: Children and young people come into contact with pornographic content online at an early age, even unintentionally and often before they have any sexual experiences of their own. This raises many questions. In three campaign videos for this year's Safer Internet Day 2024 motto "Let's talk about porn", we motivate young people and parents to talk about these topics.

Podcast: Why do minors spread images of abuse?

Headlines such as "Child porn in class chats" now regularly appear in the press. The 2022 police crime statistics provide alarming figures on this, with around 40 percent of suspects under investigation for distributing child pornography being children and young people themselves. Holger Kind, Head of the Child Pornography Central Office at the Federal Criminal Police Office, explains how these high figures come about. And how we can help prevent the spread of abusive images through education and media literacy.
