What is AI? The basics of AI in school and everyday life

Artificial intelligence has long been shaping our everyday lives - and therefore also the lives and learning of young people. But how does AI actually work? How does it "learn" and what challenges does it bring with it? And how can teachers prepare their students to deal with AI in a media-competent way?

In this training course as part of Safer Internet Day, teachers are given a compact and practical introduction to the world of artificial intelligence.

- Basics: What does AI mean?
- Differentiation: How do humans learn and how does AI "learn"? Machine learning basics, focus on supervised learning
- AI in everyday life: How young people interact with AI (how and why do children and young people use AI?)
- Benefits & risks: AI between helpful machine & humanization
- Strengthening media literacy: teaching young people how to use it responsibly
