Lecture: Cybercrime and cyber defense

The Wannacry incident a few years ago, when IT systems were paralyzed on a large scale in our everyday lives, is the latest example of this: The Internet is conquering our daily activities and we can no longer avoid it in many areas. Whether it's simply calling up information, placing orders or making travel bookings.

But beware: criminals use clever tricks to gain access to your passwords or e-mail accounts, for example, or to lure you into paid subscription traps (cybercrime). As part of the Safer Internet Day, the Verbraucherzentrale Sachsen e.V. will show you what to look out for and how you can protect yourself (cyber defense) in a presentation today at the Mehrgenerationenhaus Chemnitz.
