Safer Internet Day 2026 - TV special program

For Safer Internet Day 2026, we are broadcasting special themed blocks with selected contributions on digital security, media literacy and AI from 2 p.m. to midnight.

10 TV contributions from the interview series "Das Rote Sofa" are presented by the Bundesverband Bürgermedien e.V. (BVBM) and the Gesellschaft für Medienpädagogik und Kommunikationskultur e.V. (GMK). The series was once again created as part of the GMK's annual conference, the Forum Kommunikationskultur, which took place in its 42nd edition in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, in 2025. The motto was "Don't Panic! Media education for courage and resilience in a changing world".

We will be broadcasting another premiere at 7 p.m.:
"Fake Crime - The Media Podcast: One Picture - Many Stories
Fake Crime is a video podcast by our experts in preventive youth media protection, sponsored by the Saalekreis District Youth Welfare Office.
"One picture - many stories" tells of the fictional experiences of a girl whose harmless childhood photos reappear online years later, distorted by artificial intelligence. What began as a loving memory becomes a burden - because the internet does not forget.
The program deals with questions such as: Who bears responsibility when children's pictures are posted online? And how does AI change the way we deal with privacy, dignity and the right to one's own image?
A fictional story with a real background and a clear message: the protection of children does not end when they click on "post".

You will be surprised by further contributions that will inspire you to reflect, educate and entertain.
