Media competence case - MiA (Media in Ammerland)

The district of Ammerland is launching a new project, the new "MiA" media literacy kit. The project is aimed at pupils in years 4 to 6 and supports schools in teaching safe, responsible and reflective use of digital media.

The media literacy kit was developed in cooperation between the district of Ammerland, the police and school social work. It contains a fully developed, playful teaching concept with interactive materials, group work and a cooperative board game. The aim is to raise children's awareness of topics such as data protection, cyberbullying, fake news and respectful online behavior at an early age.

The kit can be borrowed free of charge by all schools in the Ammerland district and enables practical implementation of the topic of media literacy in the classroom.
