Media guide podcast: AI in the nursery - between help, closeness and loss of control

Artificial intelligence has long been part of everyday life for many children and young people - in chats, pictures, games and learning applications.
In this podcast episode, I discuss the role AI plays in young people's lives and why it's less about bans or panic and more about support, relationships and media skills.

Based on the latest figures from the JIM Study 2025, I talk about how young people use AI, why AI systems often seem human, where risks can arise, for example through emotional attachment or a lack of transparency, and what responsibility adults have in this regard.

The episode is aimed at parents, educational professionals and anyone who wants to support children and young people growing up in an increasingly AI-influenced media world.
