AI & youth protection: Shaping together - children's rights and participation in the context of artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping the everyday lives of children and young people - from search engines and recommendation systems to interaction with AI chatbots. This raises new questions for youth media protection: How can opportunities be exploited and risks limited? What responsibilities do politicians, companies, educational institutions, (media) educational practitioners and parents have?

How do young people use AI? To what extent do AI technologies offer them the potential for participation? And how can this be effectively supported? When and why is participation prevented in the context of AI? How could or should providers involve children and young people in the development of AI applications?

Participants will then be able to ask their own questions.

The aim of the specialist event is to shed light on the most important aspects of the opportunities and risks of AI for children and young people in a well-founded and practical way.
