KI and Me - Impulses for parents, teachers and educational professionals

Artificial intelligence is rapidly finding its way into the everyday lives of children and young people - whether as a learning and creative tool, chat assistance, automated recommendation systems or in the form of AI-generated images, texts and videos. These developments open up new possibilities, but also raise questions about safety, responsibility and educational support.

The aim of the ONLINE event is to shed light on the topic of artificial intelligence from three perspectives:

- legal: overview of types of AI, their influence and legal challenges
- police: abuse scenarios, cybergrooming, deepfakes & criminally relevant AI use
- educational: dangers of deepfakes in the school context, practical recommendations for prevention and intervention
There will also be an opportunity for questions from the participants.

The webinar with experts from the Cologne Police, the State Prevention Center against Violence and Cyber Violence at Schools in North Rhine-Westphalia (LPS) and the eco Complaints Office will take place on the occasion of Safer Internet Day on February 10, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Participation is free of charge and unlimited, but registration is required.
