First steps online: A guide for parents

In this presentation, parents will receive valuable information and practical tips for the safe and responsible use of the Internet by their children.

We will discuss media usage times and present technical protective measures. We will also look at positive online opportunities and applications that promote children's learning and creativity.

The event is part of the "MedienKompetent" series. This is aimed at all parents from Bonn and offers everyday parent evenings and workshops on topics such as social media, preventing sexualized violence and creative media work. On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, the event is open to all interested parents.

About the speakers:
The event is organized by the MedienKompetent Bonn network. The evening will be led by Sabine Bodner from the Bonn Media Center, Jaqueline Bloem from the sk stiftung jugend und medien and Friederike Kurenbach from the City of Bonn's advice center for parents, children and young people. Together they will examine questions about media in everyday family life from different perspectives.
