Information event for parents of 10 to 15-year-old children

Children use digital media not only for entertainment, but also as an important mouthpiece and form of expression. They help to process personal experiences and cope with developmental tasks.

Our interactive presentation on Safer Internet Day invites parents to explore the challenges, but above all the opportunities of the digital world. Using current studies and practical examples, we provide information on educational methods and critically question whether all seemingly attractive offers are really safe and useful for children.

Unfortunately, the digital world also brings dangers with it: cyberbullying is on the rise - children and young people are insulted, threatened or excluded.

Cyberbullying is a serious issue that affects many pupils and can have serious psychological consequences.

The lecture provides help on what you can do as a victim and explains
mechanisms and strategies of the perpetrators and, above all, how you can protect yourself.
