The digital world of your children

The internet has become an integral part of our everyday lives and internet users are getting younger and younger. Unfortunately, there are also many dangers lurking in the digital world. For younger Internet users in particular, it is therefore highly recommended that they are accompanied by an adult in digital data networks, as young people are often not yet sufficiently able to assess and evaluate the dangers and problems that exist there themselves.
Communication in social media also needs to be learned and practiced. A mutually respectful tone should also be a matter of course on the Internet. As part of the information evening, Britta Scholz from the Siegen-Wittgenstein district police authority from the Crime Prevention and Victim Protection Department, who is responsible for media prevention, will also address the dangers of social media such as TikTok, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Instagram, online games, YouTube, etc.
We also look at the advantages and disadvantages of AI in artificial relationships. ChatGPT, Meta AI on Instagram, Tik Tok and e.g. My AI on Snapchat.
The earlier you as parents and educators deal with the topic of "Internet/media use" and can develop an idea of what children can encounter online, the better prevention in this area will work.
