Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence (AI). Many people are using it and are thinking primarily of large language models, such as ChatGPT. What does this mean for school and non-formal education? How can AI be used and how can critical reflection and use be strengthened?
In the first part, participants will have the opportunity to try out AI applications and gain a basic understanding of how AI works and what educational opportunities it offers. Building on this, the second part will introduce and jointly derive how the development of AI can be used critically, but also experimentally, for education. What reflections are needed in order to provide good educational support for the social introduction of AI?
In the third part, all people who want to continue working on this topic are invited to network. The aim is to jointly develop perspectives and perhaps also cooperation. Both educational strategies and options for practical application, such as a dedicated AI server, will be considered.
The workshop will be led by Nele Hirsch, ebildungslabor.de, and moderated by Diana Elsner, Offener Kanal Merseburg-Querfurt and Tobias Thiel, Ev. Akademie Sachsen-Anhalt.
Young people who are familiar with AI will accompany the event as experts.
The event is a cooperation between the Ev. Akademie Sachsen-Anhalt, the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Sachsen-Anhalt and Offener Kanal Merseburg-Querfurt and takes place within the framework of the GMK-Landesgruppe Sachsen-Anhalt and the network "Gutes Aufwachsen mit Medien im Landkreis Wittenberg" as well as the Ev. Trägergruppe für gesellschaftspolitische Jugendbildung and is funded by the KJP of the BMFSFJ.
