DoNeM, the Dortmund Media Competence Network, is an informal, voluntary association of employees of the administration/authorities and local stakeholders from the fields of (further) education, culture, social affairs, health, day-care facilities and schools, therapy and counseling. As a local network, it is part of the "Growing up well with media" initiative.

Various stations and a workshop are offered for the children, which they go through in groups. The offer is playful, exciting, understandable and hands-on. It addresses the topics of artificial intelligence (AI), creative media use and the dangers of AI in everyday life.

Drinks and waffles are available to the children in the cafeteria at student-friendly prices.

The stations in detail:

Dortmund police: "Dangers of AI in everyday life - don't become a perpetrator"

Fabido: What would your own AI look like? Together with the pupils, they think about what their own "perfect" AI could look like. Among other things, they decide what name and logo the imaginary AI should have. They also look at how the AI could present its results and which safety aspects might need to be taken into account.

FS EKJS: Media check: Are you fit in the digital jungle? Who buzzes the most correct answers! Exciting questions and interesting discussions await you.

Digital workshop: During the break slots, you can also pay a visit to the robot dog Diwe. He will be waiting for you together with the digital workshop in the cafeteria if you like.

Smart City Dortmund and uzwei: Together with uzwei, Smart City Dortmund is organizing a hands-on stand in the Dortmunder U where pupils can get to know smart city projects. In addition to the Smart City Dortmund game, 3D pens and drawing robots will also be available for creative experimentation.

Prevention department of the Youth Welfare Office: Go on an AI hunt with the BeeBots - program the little educational robots and find the right answers! You can also practice programming on the BeeBots practice field.

Corporate Playgrounds: Train your own AI! In this hands-on workshop, you will teach an artificial intelligence something - and discover why AI sometimes seems smart, but can also be quite wrong.

Participation is by invitation only.
