Cybergrooming - Sexual violence on the internet
Content
This resource for schools and after-school youth programs provides educators with comprehensive information on the topic of cybergrooming. Cybergrooming occurs when individuals deliberately make contact with minors online in order to prepare for sexual abuse. In addition to detailed factual information, the resource includes three practical projects for working with young people.
With the help of these practical projects, the topic of sexual violence on the internet can be addressed in both school and extracurricular educational settings. The goal is to help children and adolescents recognize cybergrooming early on and become aware of their own boundaries. It also encourages them to articulate these boundaries and defend themselves against various forms of sexual violence online.
