Cybergrooming in elementary school

This material raises awareness among elementary school-aged children about the issue of cybergrooming. Throughout the series, the class follows Flizzy the squirrel. While playing, Flizzy encounters strange people and odd messages. The class helps Flizzy out of danger and, in the process, learns about and applies various safety strategies.

It is important that students are not left alone during the final training session, “Flizzy in Danger.” Pedagogical guidance from a teacher is essential. Be prepared for the possibility that a child may report a cybergrooming situation or an experience of sexualized violence.
