"Who is Herbert?"New clips from klicksafe provide information about AI

Ludwigshafen, 26.03.2026 | Whether it's about cooking recipes, an inheritance or your son's new girlfriend - the three new video clips from the EU's klicksafe initiative show that AI is playing an increasingly important role in our lives. Following on from "Where's Klaus?", the hit commercial of the 2000s, the ironically staged clips are intended to amuse and at the same time provide food for thought.
The clips are part of the klicksafe campaign "KI and me. In artificial relationship." and were created in cooperation with the Federal Center for Child and Youth Media Protection (BzKJ). The current campaign was launched on Safer Internet Day and aims to raise public awareness of the risks of using AI chatbots without reflection. Young people in particular are increasingly using AI bots such as ChatGPT or companion apps such as Replika for very personal or intimate dialogs.
"Chatbots and companion apps are very appealing to young people. They allow them to try things out seemingly carefree, especially in phases of great uncertainty such as puberty. The AI companions are often an advisor, friend and therapy at the same time. However, this comes with considerable risks - such as the disclosure of personal data or an emotional attachment to AI systems," says Deborah Woldemichael, head of the EU initiative klicksafe at the Rhineland-Palatinate Media Authority.
For klicksafe, one thing is clear: children and young people need guidance, a real community and protected spaces in order to develop well and fulfill their potential. Those who mainly interact with AI bots run the risk of developing an unrealistic image of friendship, love and relationships, as well as of themselves. The campaign "AI and me. In an artificial relationship." explains these connections. The video clips expand the teaching and advice material of the media literacy initiative and serve as a reflection starter and conversation starter in private or school contexts.
The three new clips were created with the help of AI. They were produced by the media agency Neon Internet under the direction of Karim Youssef. Images and videos were generated using the AI platform LetzAI.
They can now be viewed at klicksafe.de/video-reihen or on the klicksafe YouTube channel.
