Following the cult spot "Where is Klaus?", the media literacy initiative is releasing three video clips on the influence of AI on our coexistence. What happens when AI systems are increasingly used as advisors, take on social roles or even replace human relationships? In three short video clips, klicksafe shows deliberately exaggerated scenarios about relationships with AI companions, which are intended to raise awareness and serve as a discussion starter. The AI-generated video clips are part of the campaign "AI and me. In an artificial relationship". In line with the topic, klicksafe offers materials to educate educational professionals, parents and young people.

Safer Internet Day 2026: Over 50,000 young people discuss how to deal with AI companions

Safer Internet Day on 10.02.2026 met with a great response throughout Germany: more than 1000 schools, associations, libraries, companies and initiatives got involved with their own campaigns and events. The high level of participation underlines the broad social commitment to media literacy and the responsible use of digital technologies. The klicksafe school lesson is once again particularly popular, with over 50,000 young people taking part on the day. Safer Internet Day has been coordinated in Germany by the EU initiative klicksafe for more than 20 years.

CooperationBzKJ and klicksafe join forces for strong child and youth media protection

The Federal Agency for the Protection of Children and Young People in the Media (BzKJ) and klicksafe are intensifying their cooperation: From January 2026, the partnership will be placed on a new basis, financially supported by the BzKJ. The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen guidance for parents, educational professionals and children and young people in the digital space and to provide them with effective support on digital issues.
