#OnlineAmLimit: How can we achieve a digital balance in everyday family life?

klicksafe and Natascha Ochsenknecht support families in more digital well-being

The family is sitting down to dinner and suddenly an uninvited guest speaks up with a loud ringtone: the smartphone. This is one of many situations in which digital media can be stressful. Yet digital devices are supposed to make our everyday lives easier.

However, a forsa survey conducted by klicksafe revealed that smartphones and the like are more likely to be perceived as time wasters: Around half of the children and parents surveyed said they wanted to spend less time with digital media. However, banning them altogether is not the solution - what is needed are clear rules, parents as good role models, and understanding for each other.

Together with multi-talented mother-of-three Natascha Ochsenknecht, klicksafe shows what stress factors digital media can have on families. With a variety of materials such as videos, checklists, flyers and quizzes, we provide tips for more digital balance and show how digital stress can be reduced and prevented.
