Wikipedia lesson module updated

The klicksafe topic module "Wikipedia: Shaping Knowledge Together" was developed in cooperation with Wikimedia Deutschland and provides information about the use of the online encyclopedia in the classroom. A new edition is now available.

For many people, looking up something in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia has become an everyday reality. Whether for homework, for presentations or for teachers preparing lessons - Wikipedia is particularly popular for quick research on a topic.

But still too few users know about the principles of Wikipedia. How is the content created? Does anyone control what is written? The teaching material allows insights behind the scenes of Wikipedia and aims to teach students information literacy, source criticism and the joy of collaborative work in the knowledge community.

The klicksafe topic module "Wikipedia: Shaping knowledge together" was developed in cooperation with Wikimedia Deutschland e.V. and is currently available in its 4th revised edition. It is suitable for teaching in all types of schools at secondary level 1 and 2. Teachers receive compact background information, worksheets and methodological-didactic tips for a varied design of the teaching unit with this booklet.
