Competition of the initiative Teachtoday: Digitally fully there?
You think that respect and mutual consideration are the be-all and end-all for good coexistence online? You want to show that insults belong neither in the schoolyard nor in the class chat? That photos and videos can be funny, but not at the expense of others? Or that even Internet stars are people who should not be hurt with comments? Then show in the competition that you are "digitally fully on board".
There are many ideas for how children and young people can take responsibility online - Teachtoday wants to see yours!
The competition
In 2018, the Teachtoday initiative is focusing on the topic of "Responsibility online" in its annual competition "Media, but safe." Projects are being sought that show how children and young people can take responsibility online: Demonstrate how to treat each other respectfully in Messenger. Prove that likes are better than hate speech. Think about what things are better not to post on the Internet. Or discuss why you shouldn't mislead others with false posts. The ideas can be as diverse as the perspectives on the topic itself; the focus is on an active and self-reflective examination of one's own responsibility on the Internet.
How does the competition work?
Ideas can be submitted at www.teachtoday.de/wettbewerbuntil April 22, 2018. The finalist teams will then be determined in a public online vote . The finalists implement their idea in a project and receive a box with helpful materials as well as professional training on site. In the "Summit for Kids" finale, the finalist teams present their implemented projects and the winner is announced.
