Secure smartphoneSCHAU HIN! publishes online game "Sherlock Phones"

The initiative "SCHAU HIN! What your child does with media." has published its first game. "Sherlock Phones" is an online game and is aimed at parents and their children aged 7 to 13. Children and adults form a team and go on adventures together in the digital world. The game teaches knowledge about safe smartphone use in a fun way.

Parents and guardians make decisions about media use in their family every day. "Sherlock Phones" helps them to talk about competent media use and to sensitize their children to good media handling.

In the game, the Cypher virus infects the players' smartphones. The parent-child team must try to rid the smartphone of the virus. Support is provided by Nova - the device's anti-virus software. Teamwork, skill and media knowledge are required in several mini-games. With two difficulty levels, the game is suitable for both experienced players and newcomers within the age group. The game lasts around 45 minutes. It is free, ad-free and is played in the browser.

SCHAU HIN! developed the game together with Tiny Crocodile Studios. The developer studio specializes in so-called serious games, i.e. games that combine entertainment with knowledge transfer. Further information about the game is available from SCHAU HIN!

"LOOK AT IT! What your child does with media." is a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, ARD and ZDF as well as AOK - Die Gesundheitskasse.
