New klicksafe SectionRoblox: What Parents Should Know About the Platform and Its Risks
Roblox is not a single game world, but a platform with a huge selection of so-called “experiences.” These are developed and published by creators from the Roblox community. In addition to the wide variety of games, Roblox also offers numerous ways to communicate with other players. Unfortunately, this can give rise to various risks.
In our new section, parents can learn what Roblox is, why the platform is rated for ages 16 and up in Germany, and what risks they should be aware of. Topics covered include inappropriate content, interactions with other players, incentives to make purchases, and excessive screen time.
If parents want to allow their children to play Roblox, there are several steps they can take to ensure their children use the platform as safely as possible. We provide specific tips on topics such as parental supervision, security settings, contacts, gifts, and how to handle the in-game currency, Robux.
