Rhineland-Palatinate Minister of Education visits didacta trade show appearance of the media institutions

klicksafe presented today at didacta the new teaching material "Salafism Online. Recognize propaganda strategies - escape manipulation".

At the joint booth of the state media authorities, Dr. Marc Jan Eumann, Director of the Media Authority Rhineland-Palatinate, today welcomed the Minister of Education of Rhineland-Palatinate, Dr. Stefanie Hubig. Together they talked about the expansion of their existing, successful cooperation in the area of media literacy promotion.

In addition, a tour of the joint stand of the state media authorities with a stopover at the EU initiative klicksafe was on the agenda of the education minister and the media authority director. klicksafe presented there the new teaching material "Salafism Online. Recognizing Propaganda Strategies - Escaping Manipulation", which was developed in cooperation with jugendschutz.net and ufuq.de and is funded by the German federal program "Demokratie leben! In the new publication, klicksafe addresses religiously motivated extremism and raises awareness of Salafist propaganda. In the first quarter since the publication of the handout, over 6000 copies have already been ordered on klicksafe.de.

At didacta, klicksafe offers the opportunity to learn more about the EU initiative's offerings in Hall 8.1, Aisle D,  No.30  and provides printed copies from its extensive portfolio of materials for teachers, parents and young people.

In addition to klicksafe, other media competence projects, such as Internet-ABC, Flimmo, Handysektor and JUUUPORT, will be presenting themselves at the joint stand of the state media authorities.

The education trade fair didacta will take place from February 18 to 23, 2019 at the exhibition center in Cologne. As Europe's largest trade fair, it provides comprehensive insight into the entire education system, from early childhood education and vocational training to lifelong learning.
