The klicksafe Youth Panel is the youth advisory board of klicksafe and has been active since 2009. It consists of committed young people between the ages of 13 and 18. Together, they are committed to making the internet a better and safer place for children and young people. In order to strengthen the work of the young people and make their commitment more visible, the klicksafe Youth Panel now has a new look and its own website.

How should you react to cyberbullying? Do TikTok challenges play a role in your own environment? What fake news have you already encountered? And what support is needed when dealing with sexual harassment online? - The klicksafe Youth Panel is about everything that concerns young people online, their concerns and wishes for a better and safer Internet. Many of the participants also work as media scouts or media mentors at their schools and are well versed in digital topics. Others are dealing with online topics for the first time in the klicksafe Youth Panel. All young people who would like to contribute their own ideas and concerns are welcome to join the klicksafe Youth Panel.

In addition to the many years of successful cooperation with schools, particularly in Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg, the extracurricular area of the Youth Panel is currently being further expanded. The aim is to reach more young people from different contexts - even outside of school. For example, through clubs, youth clubs or initiatives that work together with young people on issues that can also affect online safety, such as racism, sexualized violence or mental health.

To strengthen the Youth Panel on the klicksafe website, we are now publishing a separate section with its own logo and design. This is aimed at young people who are already members of the Youth Panel and, above all, those who would like to participate in the Youth Panel.

In future, young people will be able to find out what the Youth Panel is, how cooperation with other Youth Panels works at European level and what the young people are currently working on. Interested young people between the ages of 13 and 18 can also get in touch via a simple contact form if they would like to become a member of the Youth Panel.

News from the klicksafe Youth Panel

  • Acomprehensive guide with tips from young people for young people will be published inmid-November . It was created in several workshops with members of the klicksafe Youth Panel.
  • From 13-16.11.2025 klicksafe will travel to Rostock together with two participants of the Youth Panelto BundesJugendKonferenz Medien (BJKM) and present both the work of the Youth Panel and the cooperation with other Youth Panels at EU level.  
  • On  4.12.2025 the Safer Internet Forum will take place in Brussels . The klicksafe Youth Panel will also be taking part here. This is because numerous young people from all over Europe are already meeting in advance for several online meetings to help shape the conference. Naturally, the young people will also be in Brussels to take part in the Safer Internet Forum. 
  • Save the date: On 12.12.2025 klicksafe is organizing the first training day for the young people of the klicksafe Youth Panel at Media:TURM in Ludwigshafen . Young people who would like to participate in the Youth Panel in the future are also invited. More information will follow soon.
