Strengthening information literacyNew klicksafe materials "Safe news instead of fake news"

Who can young people trust when it comes to news? Which sources are reputable - which are not? What sometimes makes fake news so credible? And what role do we ourselves play as disseminators of information? These and other questions are addressed in the new quiz "Safe News instead of Fake News", which was created in cooperation with ZDFheute. The new poster for the quiz also focuses on the most important tips offline.

With our quiz "Safe news instead of fake news", young people can improve their information literacy. They learn to confidently debunk fake news and find out what role they themselves play as part of digital society. After all, we don't just consume media, we are also responsible for what we share. The quiz is aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 16 (7th to 10th grade) and was developed by klicksafe together with ZDFheute.

The accompanying poster contains concise tips on how to recognize fake news and how to deal with it competently. It is also suitable for young people between the ages of 12 and 16 and can be hung up in the classroom or computer room, for example. The poster leads directly to the quiz via a QR code.

The materials developed in cooperation with ZDFheute are used as part of the "ZDF goes Schule" education initiative and are now available at klicksafe. An important focus of this ZDF initiative is to make young people fit to combat fake news and disinformation. In collaboration with ZDF logo!, klicksafe has developed a suitable quiz and corresponding poster on the topic of deepfakes for younger children
